The table is over eight feet in length, handcrafted in generous, large pieced, solid rosewood and rosewood burl. It is extremely rare to find solid panels this large. Burls are bumps or balls that grow in the root, trunk and sometimes, branches of trees – actually tumors growing on the tree, the rapid and random growth causes expressive unique grain patterns, and are highly prized by wood connoisseurs.

Although the dining set is modern, the timber is vintage stock, saved only to make the finest furniture. Using our trademark, classical Chinese all-wood joinery, the table has a pair of removable leaves, sliding beams rosewood-on-rosewood, thus the table can conveniently be shortened or lengthened to number of guests and multiple uses in formal dining rooms of all shapes and sizes.

True to traditional Queen Anne furniture hues, the rosewood is hand polished and finished to match the period correct walnut, cherry, maple, mahogany hardwoods. The eight chairs are styled with plain crest rail, solid arched splat, serpentine curves, pad feet, and cabriole legs.  Moreover, the slip seated chairs are draped in bone white and pearlescent gold Phoenix motif authentic Versace Home Collection Italian designed, French made upholstery.
