Staying true to its classical roots, there are no hinge pivoting doors, cabinet is hadmade in 100% solid hardwood. Blackwood is commonly known in Western countries as Dalbergia Melanoxylon -or- Tree of Music. It’s dark brown surface with streaking ebony tones give a deep purple look with a stunning expresive grain pattern. To furniture connesuiers, blackwood and zitan woods are highly attractive and respected. Inside shelf is removable, as are the pair of peony relief carved doors. This is historically correct for pre-19th century cabinets with removable doors for ease of disassembly and transportation.
