Sloping stile cabinet in which the top is narrower than the bottom, providing a balanced unique presentation. Traditional joinery featuring dovetail, mortise and tenon joints. A pair of solid brass tear-drop handles complete the package.

Staying true to its classical roots, there are no hinge pivoting doors, cabinet is hadmade in 100% solid hardwood. Blackwood is commonly known in Western countries as Dalbergia Melanoxylon -or- Tree of Music. It’s dark brown surface with streaking ebony tones give a deep purple look with a stunning expresive grain pattern. To furniture connesuiers, blackwood and zitan woods are highly attractive and respected. Note the photograph rear of cabinet, the cloud-like pillow grain forms in the burlwood of the floating panels.

Inside shelf is removable, as are the pair of peony relief carved doors. This is historically correct for pre-19th century cabinets with removable doors for ease of disassembly and transportation. Modern function as bathroom vanity cabinet for vessel, foyer welcoming cabinet, end table, accent, or study bookcase.
